Fees for applications for more than one flood risk activity

We charge a fee for every flood risk activity you plan to carry out.

If you are carrying out the same flood risk activity more than once, we will charge the full fee for one activity and apply a 70% discount for the subsequent activities.

Multiple activities are eligible for discount if they are:

  • the same flood risk activity definition, for example, building multiple outfalls, or building an outfall and use of coffer dam
  • part of the same project and on one application form
  • within the same area or site
  • on sites which have the same characteristics and constraints

If you are carrying out different flood risk activities, a full charge will apply to each activity.

Fees for applications with planning permission

Applications that have assessed and agreed the flood risk during the planning permission process will cost £295.

Some of the assessments will have already been completed and it reduces the amount of time we need to consider the application.

How to pay

We will contact you to confirm your fee and take payment when we receive your application.

Your application will not be duly made until payment has been received.
