Our application process

Applying

You will need to search and apply online for our vacancies.

You can apply in Welsh or English. All applications will be treated equally.

The application form will ask you to:

  • enter your contact details and other personal information
  • state your Welsh language level
  • use STAR examples to show how you meet each requirement in the "Your qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills" part of the job advertisement

You will also have the option to upload your CV.

Shortlisting

After the closing date, the recruiting manager and recruitment panel members will review all applications.

We guarantee an interview to any disabled person whose application meets the essential criteria for the post.

If you are shortlisted you will be invited to an interview.

You will also be notified if you are unsuccessful at the shortlisting stage.

Interviewing

Every job advertisement includes a provisional or a confirmed interview date.

It will also state if the interview will be online or in-person.

We use Microsoft Teams for our online interviews.

Our in-person interviews take place in one of our offices.

You can ask for the interview to be carried out in Welsh or English.

You will need to tell us before the interview if you require any reasonable adjustments, such as:

  • specific computer software
  • if you need any emails and documents in an accessible format
  • specialist support, for example a sign language interpreter

There will be three people on the interview panel.

You should use the STAR method to help you structure your answers during the interview.

Offering the role

After all the interviews have taken place, the recruiting manager will contact the successful candidate to offer them the role.

The recruiting manager will also contact all unsuccessful candidates.

Our screening process for new staff includes getting references and checking your right to work.
