Charges for bespoke medium combustion plant or specified generator permits

The higher charge for a “complex” bespoke permit is for applications that require air emissions dispersion modelling to assess the impact from the activities.

Charges for complex bespoke permits

New application: £9,978

New application for an activity which is also a Part B activity: £10,885.

Administrative variation: £577 (where requested by the permit holder)

Minor technical variation: £1,380 (a variation with minimal technical assessment required)

Normal variation: £5,787

Substantial variation: £9,175

Full transfer of the permit: £2,076

Charges for simple bespoke permits

New application: £3,906

New application for an activity which is also a Part B activity: £4,813

Charges for medium combustion plant or specified generators that are directly associated activities on installations

Where the main activity on the site is a Part A(1) activity regulated by an Installation permit, the following amounts will be added to the Installation charge for the MCP or SG activities:

  • For a new installation including a bespoke MCP/SG – £1,626
  • For a variation to an Installation Permit to add a bespoke MCP/SG with no other changes – the appropriate stand-alone MCP/SG charge from the lists above
  • For a variation to an Installation Permit which includes changes to the bespoke MCP/SG along with other changes – add £976 to the Installation Variation charge
  • For a variation to an Installation Permit where only the bespoke MCP/SG conditions are varied – the appropriate variation charge from the lists above
  • There will be no charge for non-technical changes to MCP/SG conditions as part of a variation to an Installation permit.

For any scenario not listed above we will charge the most appropriate charge based on the above.

Change to a permit schedule: £408 (add or remove MCPs from the permit)

Surrender the permit: £265
